As a young boy, Oded played as a trombonist in the Thelma-Yalin High School Jazz Orchestra. Shortly after joining, he started writing arrangements and original compositions for the orchestra as well as for other jazz ensembles in school.
Throughout his career, Oded performed in numerous musical settings, playing a wide range of musical styles with some of the most known local talents: the Avishai Cohen's "Eastern Unit", Avi Leibowitz's "Orchestra", the Tel-Aviv Jazz Orchestra, the Jerusalem Salsa Band and the Groovatron. He also took part in many prestigious musical productions such as the Idan Raichel Project, Shalom Chanoch (4 staions), Rami & Rita (Ha'Mofa Ha'Meshutaf), David Broza and Yehudit Ravitz.
Oded gained a reputation of a talented arranger, with a unique signature, and was commissioned by many producers and art directors of various groups, ensembles and orchestras. Commissions for the Tel-Aviv Jazz Festival were premiered by the Tel-Aviv Jazz Orchestra featuring distinguished guests such as Shalom Chanoch and Rami Kleinstein and Nurit Galron. Other known Israeli productions included Oded's arranging skills, amoung them: Rami & Rita "Ha'Mofa Ha'Meshutaf", the Israel Natanya Kibbutz Orchestra, and Shalom Chanoch 4 Stations Project.
In the past 10 years, Oded has been the brass section leader of the Groovatron band, and is in charge of the brass arrangements for both performances and album recordings.
In July 2010, Oded was commissioned to be the artistic producer, arranger and conductor of a musical production in the memory of the legendary French chansoner "Serge Geinsbourg", which premiered in the Israeli Opera House in Tel-Aviv.
Oded is a devoted educator, promoting young talents at the Raanana Music Center, teaching both trombone as well as music principals. 3 years ago, he founded the Raanana Young Jazz Orchestra, which he conducts and arrange for till now.
